Define each rule

1. Use one concept and one preferred term. Treat the discouraged variants as separate rules.
2. Add a short explanation that tells a reviewer why the preferred wording exists.
3. Choose case-sensitive matching for capitalization requirements and whole-word matching when a term should not match inside another word.
4. Avoid broad or ambiguous phrases that would create noisy findings.

Run the checklist

1. Select ordinary page text or focus an ordinary browser editor.
2. Choose Check current text.
3. Review each finding and use the preferred wording only when it fits the sentence.
