Local terminology setup tool
Build a TermLock rule pack from CSV.
Bring a small, approved terminology list into TermLock without entering each rule separately. Conversion happens entirely in this tab: nothing you paste is uploaded or stored by this page. The JSON file is saved only when you choose Download.
The starting list is fictional. Use the exact headers discouraged,preferred; optional headers are explanation,caseMode,wholeWord. Quotes may wrap commas or line breaks; double a quote inside a quoted field. Comma-separated CSV only, not semicolon-separated CSV. Up to 500 rules and 2 MiB of CSV.
Defaults: case-insensitive, whole-word matching. Set caseMode to exact or insensitive, and wholeWord to true or false per row when needed. Terms are limited to 120 characters; explanations to 500. Rules are enabled initially; review them before checking real copy.
Build and review the current rules before downloading.
Import, select, then check
- Open TermLock → Manage rule packs → Import JSON and choose the downloaded file.
- Review the import preview and choose Import pack. Check that the new pack is selected in TermLock’s popup.
- Check a made-up sentence containing a discouraged phrase from your imported pack in an ordinary editor. Use preferred wording only when it fits. The safe fictional test instead verifies the built-in Example product terms pack.
This creates local exact-match rules, not a contextual, AI, grammar, or compliance check. TermLock does not edit text automatically or sync packs across a team.
